- Property
MILLIPORE filter box tests allow the quality control of jet fuels.
2 types of tests:
1 - Single membrane colorimetric filter: 1 housing + 1 membrane
(MAWP037P0) – 50 filter boxes
Visual reading by comparing the color of the product-soaked membrane to that of the colorimetric booklet.
2 - Double membrane colorimetric filter: 1 box + 2 membranes one below the other. (MAWP037PM) 50 filter boxes
Visual Reading of Dual Membrane Colorimetric Test:
• If the 2 membranes are colored identically, then there are no particles present because the coloring of the product comes from the jet fuel manufacturing process.
• If the lower membrane is not colored and the upper membrane is colored then there are particles present. This involves performing a new gravimetric filter box test for laboratory analysis to define the amount of particles on the membrane.
NB: the colorimetric double membrane and gravimetric filter boxes are identical and produced in a clean room. Gravimetric filter boxes must not have been opened before the test has been carried out and sent to the laboratory.
