Water in oil detection tablet; the Shell Water Detector allows you to proceed your daily jet fuel tests required by the Joint Inspection Group the standards for aviation fuel supply. Its performances will insure to detect water in your fuel where low concentrations of water suspended cannot be detected by visual inspections.
Easy-to-use, reliable and simple industry-standard test method, the Shell Water Detector is a capsule that you attach to a syringe, which you use to draw out 5ml of jet fuel.By the capsule's colour change; you will know if there is the possible presence of free water in suspension in the jet fuel (JET A-1).
Free water in aviation fuel can lead to ice formation, filter blockages and consequent engine failure. It can also allow microbial growth in fuel tanks, which can cause fuel spoiling and filter blocking.
Daily test the fuel stored in in-service tanks, hydrant filter drains, loading filter drains, fueller filter drains, hydrant dispensers, fueller tanks and trailer tanks, with the Shell Water Detector to garanty that the industry limits for water-free jet fuel are maintained.
