EMCEE MODEL 1152 / Conductivy Meter
This device was designed and built to work safely on the JET A-1
and identical products.
1- Application
The Model 1152 Conductivity Meter provides continuous measurement of conductivity in c.u or picosiemens per meter per ASTM D 2624.
The ergonomics of the 1152 make it easy to use and apply in the field.
Initially, this device was designed and built to work safely on the JET A-1
and identical products.
2 - Security
Hydrocarbon fuels have typically low electrical conductivity and therefore are susceptible to static charge retention. Static charges are induced, especially, when fuel is pumped at high rates for filtration.
In case of low conductivity, the static charge stagnates in the product. This situation can lead to an explosion or fire in the presence of sparks.
Because conductivity is a function of temperature, it is very important to record the fuel temperature at which the measurement was performed.
3 - Operating mode
The Model 1152 consists of an electronic assembly and a stainless steel probe.
The probe must be immersed in the liquid, so that the holes of the probe are completely submerged.
When the "M" push button is pressed, a small current flows from the liquid to the electrodes. The current measurement is amplified in the electronic assembly and then displayed on the LCD screen in picosiemens per meter (PS/m).
This information is then stored until the next measurement
