The EP 4Ex is a digital display controller for measuring line resistances
electrical in areas at risk of explosion which can reach an insulation resistance
of 2000Kohm with a voltage of 500V.
Usage:
- Connect the measurement lead to the device and to the line to be measured
- Switching on the device: press the ON/TEST key. The device goes into the
measurement mode and displays –1 or +1.
- To measure the line resistance, Press the key until the
measurement is displayed (the measurement remains displayed for approximately 3 seconds). During the
measurement, the device sends a test current of 20 mA in the line.
- You can redo the measurement by inverting the measurement current: press the
key
+/- before measurement. This process makes it possible to check whether galvanic couples are
present and disrupt the measurement.
- When finished, press ON/TEST to turn off the unit. This one goes out
automatically after 20 seconds of non-use.
