A simple, innovative and safe way to assess the number of colony forming units (CFU), the standard unit for measuring the number of microbes.
It allows testing to globally recognized standards, rated by industry organizations (such as IATA and the Aviation Joint Inspection Group), equipment manufacturers (such as Boeing and Airbus), and used by many of the largest fuel users and producers in the world.
Microb Monitor2® has been validated by independent studies (conducted by the Energy Institute) and is recognized as both an International Petroleum (IP) and ASTM (IP 613 and ASTM D7978) standard test method respectively ).
The test detects very low levels of contamination by the three types of microbes (yeast, bacteria and molds) that cause microbial contamination of fuel and oil. This allows for early detection, before contamination becomes a problem. The test will also detect spores of microbes, which are often the only indication of contamination in a system.
